Why this is private
Most image converters upload your photos to a server. Your images β and any GPS location baked into them β then sit on a stranger's computer. This one is different. It uses your browser's own canvas engine to do the work. Turn off your internet after the page loads and it still runs. No server receives your files.
Strips EXIF and location data automatically
Phone photos carry hidden metadata. That includes the exact GPS spot where you took them. When this tool re-encodes an image, that data is dropped. So it's also a fast way to scrub your location before you post a photo online.
How to use it
Drop in your images. Pick a format. Set the quality β lower means a smaller file. Optionally cap the width to shrink big photos. Click convert, then download.
JPG vs PNG vs WebP β which should I pick?
JPG is best for photos and gives the smallest size. PNG keeps sharp edges and transparency, good for logos and screenshots. WebP is a modern format that's usually smaller than both β great for websites, supported by all current browsers.
